1. Ownership of the Site & Content
All content on this site, including text, design, images, graphics, logos, and directory listings, is the property of The Canadian Edit or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, scrape, deep-link, or otherwise use any content from the site without prior written permission.
Brands that submit information and assets confirm they hold the rights to those assets and grant The Canadian Edit permission to publish them.
2. Informational Use Only
The Canadian Edit provides brand information and editorial content for general informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all details are current, complete, or error-free.
Inclusion of a brand, product, or service on this site does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee. Visitors should verify information directly with brands before making purchasing or business decisions.
3. Limitation of Liability
The Canadian Edit is not liable for any errors, omissions, interruptions, or outcomes related to the use of this site. The site and its content are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, either expressed or implied.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the site is to stop using it.

The Canadian Edit may link to third-party websites, brand sites, or affiliate partners. These links are provided for convenience only. We do not control or guarantee the content, accuracy, or availability of those external sites, and we are not responsible for any losses, purchases, or experiences that occur off our platform.
5. Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure
From time to time, The Canadian Edit may include sponsored content, advertising, or affiliate links. These will always be disclosed. Compensation may be received when users click or purchase through affiliate links. Inclusion of any brand or advertisement does not imply endorsement.
6. Fees & Refund Policy
Certain services offered by The Canadian Edit — including directory listings, onboarding fees, or other brand-related services — may require payment.
All fees are charged in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified.
Directory listing fees cover the editorial and administrative work required to review, prepare, and publish a brand profile on The Canadian Edit platform.
Due to the time and resources involved in creating and maintaining these listings, all payments are non-refundable once work on a listing has begun or the listing has been published.
If a brand submits payment but later decides not to proceed before any editorial or listing work has started, a refund may be requested within 2 days of payment by contacting jenny@thecanadianedit.ca.
The Canadian Edit reserves the right to decline a listing submission that does not align with the platform’s editorial standards. In such cases, if payment has already been made and no editorial work has begun, a full refund will be issued.
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind after work has started
- Requests made after a listing has been published
- Dissatisfaction with editorial tone or placement once a listing is live
- Delays caused by incomplete information or assets provided by the brand

7. Copyright & Intellectual Property Concerns
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that your work has been used on our site in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us at jenny@thecanadianedit.ca with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work.
- The location/URL of the infringing material on our site.
- Your contact information.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.
- Your signature (electronic or physical).
We will review and take appropriate action.
8. Site Access & Restrictions
You agree not to use any robot, scraper, or automated system to access, copy, or misuse this site. You also agree not to attempt to breach security, interfere with site functionality, or use the site for unlawful purposes. We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the site at any time, with or without cause.
