Anne Sportun creates fine jewellery in gold and precious stones, with collections including rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and charms. Nature is a recurring source of inspiration, as seen in pieces that range from delicate everyday jewellery to one-of-a-kind designs and custom engagement rings.
The brand began when Toronto-born artist Anne Sportun began making jewellery as a teenager. It was a way for her to have an outlet for her creativity, but it grew into something more when she put her archaeological studies on hold to study jewellery arts and develop her goldsmithing skills. In the 1980s she opened her first boutique, and officially founded the brand. The business has remained rooted in Toronto ever since, with Anne building a career around fine jewellery and bespoke pieces.
Jewllery has always been a natural part of life for Anne’s daughter, Haley, who grew up around her mother’s studio and collections. After working in the boutique and at trade shows, Haley began taking on bespoke jewellery projects, including one-of-a-kind engagement rings, and eventually became co-owner of the business. Anne and Haley now work together on the brand’s collections, with nature providing a recurring source of inspiration. Alongside its own jewellery, Anne Sportun offers custom pieces, bridal jewellery and one-of-a-kind designs from its Toronto flagship on Queen Street West.
