About the brand

Founded in Vancouver by designer Molly Spittal, Decade Studio started in 2019 after Molly spent a year researching denim production and travelling through Europe to find manufacturing partners. Denim is at the heart of the brand, with every pattern developed in-house and tested on real bodies. The brand produces its denim in Portugal in small batches and releases just two major collections a year. Along with their denim collection, they also offer trousers and soft tailoring.

Decade Studio works primarily with natural fibres, including 100% cotton denim and cotton twill, and avoids the synthetic stretch fibres often used in denim. Spittal’s focus is on traditional construction and garments that soften, fade and develop character with wear. The collection currently extends to size 40, and the brand’s manufacturing partners are vetted for ethical labour practices.
