About the brand

The story of b, halfmoon began with a discovery in a research and development lab when founder Andrea Morris came across a rubber compound with exceptional grip and immediately saw its potential as a yoga mat. After years of prototyping and bootstrapping the business, she launched B Yoga in 2014 with the original b, mat. Four years later, she acquired Halfmoon, a British Columbia brand with roots in 1989, bringing the two businesses together as sister brands before uniting them under the b, halfmoon name in 2023.

Today, the collection covers yoga mats, bolsters, blocks, straps, meditation cushions and recovery tools, with products designed to support movement and moments of rest. Sustainability also plays a role in how the company operates, from its use of organic cotton, natural materials and OEKO-TEX® certified textiles to its work with local business partners. As a certified B Corporation, b, halfmoon measures its impact across the business, including its treatment of people and the planet. Morris’s own experience navigating business growth, motherhood and burnout has also shaped the brand’s current message: making room to slow down and return to yourself.
