About the brand

Founded in 2020 by toy designer and new mom Diana Horqque, Go Coconut began when she wanted a play couch, but couldn’t find one made in Canada. She designed her own and launched the first product within three months. After that she opened the brand’s workshop in Laval, Quebec, six months later. The collection includes the Coconut modular play couch, the Cocohop bounce pad, and a growing range of cubes, wedges, walls and other accessories. Every piece is built to be modular, so components can be rearranged into everything from a couch to a fort or obstacle course. The covers are cut and sewn in the Montreal area using durable, machine-washable fabric, and the foam is Canadian-made and CertiPUR-US® certified.

Go Coconut designs and manufactures its products in-house, sourcing almost all its suppliers within 10 kilometres of its workshop. The brand also shares behind-the-scenes looks at its production process, with workshop tours available to visitors. Its sustainability efforts include a Zero Waste line made from fabric offcuts, one-of-a-kind Hors Série pieces using leftover materials, and Reloved, a program that lets customers return pre-owned covers for store credit. Returned pieces are repaired, fitted with new foam and resold at a lower price with the same warranty. With repair, resale and waste-reduction programs built into the business, Go Coconut is designed to grow with your children.
