Drizzle Honey
Rooted in sustainability and crafted with care, this female-founded brand is redefining what honey can be—delicious, raw, traceable, and good for the planet.
About the brand
An environmental scientist turned accidental honey entrepreneur, Aja Horsley started Drizzle Honey after a rooftop beekeeping research project sparked what she calls a lifelong love affair with bees. What began as a backyard operation packaged in her own kitchen has grown into a Certified Women-Owned business working with a small network of Alberta beekeepers who share her commitment to sustainable hive practices.
Drizzle partners with three to five farms a year across Alberta, producing honey predominantly from clover wildflower sources and holding to a sustainability standard that accounts for people, planet, and profit. The pivot wasn’t planned: Horsley developed a bee allergy a week after quitting her research job to pursue Drizzle full-time, which turned her into a honey-obsessed operator rather than a beekeeper, and shaped the collaborative model the brand runs on today.
