About the brand

Home carbonation machines have long tied Canadian households to other international brands and big-box chains for cylinder exchanges. Indigo Soda wanted to offer a more accessible, Canadian alternative. The Quebec-based company refills CO2 cylinders compatible with every sparkling water machine on the market and accepts empties from any brand in exchange for a full one. Its network now spans more than 2,500 exchange points across Canada, from grocery stores and pharmacies to hardware stores and independent shops.

With a focus around reuse rather than replacement, each cylinder can last up to 40 years and produce up to 60 litres of sparkling water per fill. he company partners with Mission 1000 Tonnes on plastic recovery in Canadian waterways and with Arbre-Évolution on reforestation to offset its operational footprint. By pairing universal compatibility with a nationwide exchange network, the brand makes it easy to create sparkling water at home, at a fraction of the cost—while cutting down on single-use bottles, excess transportation, and everyday waste.
