Shaped by the storied landscape of Turner Valley—once a hotbed of oil booms, Prohibition-era smuggling, and outlaw lore—Eau Claire Distillery channels Alberta’s history into a modern craft spirits program. Founded in 2013 as the province’s first craft distillery, the team produces a growing lineup of acclaimed spirits, from Parlour Gin to Rupert’s Exceptional Canadian Whisky and carefully considered seasonal releases.

What truly sets the distillery apart is its commitment to a fully integrated, farm-to-glass approach. Grain is grown on-site in Southern Alberta using traditional methods—including Percheron draft horses and antique equipment—keeping production closely tied to the land and its terroir. As Alberta’s first single malt whisky distillery, the brand blends old-world techniques with contemporary ambition, creating spirits that feel both grounded and forward-looking as their presence continues to expand across Canada.
