About the brand

Elise McLauchlan is a Montreal-based woodworker known for her sculptural approach to everyday objects. Before founding her studio, Elise began her creative career designing whimsical window displays for UK fashion house Mulberry—building oversized ice cream cones and inflatable animals for storefronts. Eventually, she traded the glue gun for a lathe, returning to university to study furniture design and hone her skills in traditional woodturning.

Today, Elise creates small-batch bowls, trays, and home goods that balance form and function with a quiet elegance. Each piece is turned by hand in her Montreal studio using sustainable materials and an intuitive, process-driven approach. No two works are ever quite the same—she lets the wood grain guide the final shape, resulting in objects that feel both modern and timeless. Driven by a desire to keep handmade production alive, Elise crafts with purpose and intention. The result is a collection of objects that are both beautiful and useful, grounded in craft but deeply personal
