About the brand
Founded by Vancouver-born sisters Neelam and Serena Virani, the brand is a heartfelt invitation to slow down and embrace rest as a daily, non-negotiable act of wellness. Drawing from their own experiences with burnout, hormone shifts, and the unrelenting pace of modern life, the duo created RANI Lounge as a way to reframe rest not as indulgence, but as a foundational pillar of women’s health.
RANI’s philosophy blends sustainability with softness, emphasizing movement, nourishment, and deep, restorative sleep—all without perfectionism. It’s a wellness brand grounded in self-compassion and joy, encouraging women to tune in to their needs, trust their intuition, and find power in small rituals.
Born from a love of cozy, matching pajamas and infused with the sisters’ South Asian heritage, the brand is both personal and celebratory. Named after the word for “queen” in Hindi and Urdu (and a nod to their last name), RANI Lounge honours the matriarchs in their family—grandmothers Jena and Mary, and aunt Laila—whose strength and grace inspire each collection.
