Just Launched: Brilliant Breath Mouthwash by Before

Canadian oral care brand Before has officially launched Brilliant Breath MouthWash, a new microbiome-friendly rinse designed to deliver long-lasting freshness without the harsh ingredients commonly found in traditional mouthwash formulas.
Created with Before’s signature SuperMint flavour, the alcohol-free formula is designed to freshen breath while supporting overall oral health. The mouthwash contains ingredients like sea salt, hyaluronic acid, aloe, zinc, and vitamin C to help cleanse the mouth, support moisture balance, and promote a healthier oral microbiome.
The launch also marks a major sustainability milestone for the Vancouver-based brand. Before says Brilliant Breath is the first mouthwash in North America packaged in fully home compostable, plastic-free Vivomer packaging, a plant-based material developed by London biomaterials company Shellworks.
“Traditional mouthwash can feel like a fire drill for your mouth,” said Steve Thorp, CEO and Co-founder of Before, in the announcement. “Brilliant Breath brings the cool, long-lasting freshness people love, but in a microbiome-friendly formula that actually supports your teeth and overall mouth health.”
The formula is free from alcohol, peroxide, SLS, parabens, and dyes, and is both vegan-friendly and Leaping Bunny certified. The brand also notes that 1% of sales support environmental initiatives through its BeforeCares program.
Before Brilliant Breath MouthWash launched June 1, 2026 and is now available across Canada and the U.S. through Before’s website, Amazon, and at select Sprouts locations nationwide.
