About the brand

Miik creates women’s clothing that brings together comfort, style, and sustainability. Designed for busy lives and made to be worn again and again, the pieces work just as well for the office as they do for lounging at home. This Canadian, women-run brand produces every piece within 50 kilometres of its Toronto studio, using carefully selected fabrics and local manufacturing partners. Miik develops custom-milled fabrics, including rayon made from bamboo and four-way stretch modal, which are used throughout the collection—even in structured pieces like blazers. Keeping its supply chain close to home allows the team to regularly visit its manufacturing partners and ensure employees are paid an Ontario living wage.

Twice-yearly collections are designed to outlast trends, with inclusive sizing and a strong focus on showing how the clothes actually fit and move on different bodies. Every other week, Miik hosts virtual fashion shows that customers can watch from home on any device, featuring the founder, employees, and customers alongside styling tips, laughs, and plenty of outfit inspiration. Customers also have a hand in deciding what gets made through the annual Made by Miik Design Contest, now in its fifth year, where the public can submit ideas and vote on designs they would like to see produced. The same community spirit extends to Miik’s photography and live shopping, where the brand features its own staff and customers rather than agency models. Every order also gives back, with contributions to Plan Canada, Indspire, and The Love Club supporting education, opportunity, and community.
