About the brand

Founded by beauty industry veteran Amy Gordinier, Skinfix makes clean, clinical skincare built to address the root causes of stubborn skin concerns. The brand grew out of a chance discovery in eastern Canada, where Gordinier encountered a 150-year-old skin-healing balm created by a compound pharmacist. The balm’s high concentration of active ingredients and the stack of heartfelt customer letters that came with it shaped the philosophy that became Skinfix.

The line spans cleansers, treatments, moisturizers, and hand and body care, with formulas packed with up to ten active ingredients chosen to work on multiple connected concerns at once. Skinfix has led on barrier health for over a decade, with products rigorously tested and used in clinical practice. The brand’s “clean” standard is shaped by input from its dermatologist community and guidance from non-profits like the National Eczema Association and National Rosacea Society, and gets updated as the science evolves.
